First of all I have searched. I did get an idea or two but my preferences are a little different than those I found.
Budget should be no more than $1500.00 US. Not really into Jamaica, bahamas, mexico, or other beaches, etc. If we can't find something different we could always fall back on that.
We are on the east coast (GA). Would fly out of atlanta if it's not within driving distance. Actually I prefer not to drive.
It will be in mid December. Kinda considering New York, or maybe California (Hollywood).
PLease offer any serious suggestions. None of the "Just get a 29.99 room at Motel6 and call it a night" posts.

Not Jamaica unless you want to be harassed about buying "smoke" every 15 minutes. We went to Negril man what a drive pothole city!

Actually if you go to an all inclusive "Beaches or Sandels" I here Jamaica is great
 
I know two couples that went to sandels. We just want to go somewhere different than beach-type locations.

Well, give me some ideas everyone.
 
a cabin in the mountains like aspen or some such place would be sweet. nice and far away from anybody else so you don't have to keep the noise down. your not going to be leaving the house much so get a realy nice house with a nice veiw.
 
Follow the trail of Triumph in the 'attack of the nerds' and take your lovely fiancee' to a nice night out in hte loca arcade . . ..
 
how about a nice 4star 5star hotel somewhere? women love to be pampered.

pick a city you want to visit..and then pick a nice hotel there.

bellagio at las vegas is $500 on an expensive day and $150 on a cheap day.

I thought about mountains, etc. but can't find a "package deal" w/airfare hotel, etc.

I guess we may call a travel agent and try and get some ideas.

I've been to LV three times and she's been there once already. I'd rather not go there again this soon.
 
Take a look at the "Canadian Beauty" thread that is going now. My wife and I went there for our honeymoon and it is truly spectacular area.
