Is it just me, or do you get worried when a free iOS app lists "Bug Fixes" as the only change in their latest app update? I've found that it usually means that they've found a way to cram more advertising and in-app purchases into the application.

Wouldn't it be great if Apple required developers to write honest change log entries for their applications? I can imagine what they would look like something like this:

Calculator Pro: Made the full screen ad that pops up when you launch the app even more colorful and obnoxious. Pay up for the full version, you cheap bastards!

Candy Crush Saga: Added a cool new power up that basically wins impossible levels for you. We expect that most of you lazy players will pony up $5 to use this!

Facebook: Updated our backdoor to the NSA PRISM data mining program.

Skype: Fixed one obnoxious crash bug, but added two new ones. Aren't you glad that Microsoft bought us out and outsourced our development team to Bangladesh?

Yeah I know... just stop being cheap and use better apps. I know...

I think I've disabled updating on most of my apps by now, if I wanted an update I'd go get it

What's worse is when a patch causes another problem, which Facebook is notorious for. Had one really obnoxious bug that wouldn't let me view it in landscape on my iPad.

I'm a little surprised that happened. I thought the big attraction to iOS was the fixed target, so things should Just Work®. Android has numerous platforms, with sometimes grossly different architecture, so I'd expect more problems there.

Just bad development and rushed releases. Saw it first hand at this place I used to work at. App has to be out by this deadline, get it done. App sucks, people bitch, rinse and repeat.
