Okay, here's what I've got:

AMD XP Barton 2500+
Shuttle AN35N ultra
2 x 256mb Infineon PC3200
Mad Dog FX5200 AGP
Western Digital 80gb SE

right now I'm running 200fsb x 10 = 2.0ghz even @ default voltage and @ 2.5-3-3-6 timings on the ram.
The chip is multiplier unlocked and right now my idle temps hit 28-30C and load reaches 37-39C.

do those more experienced here think I should maybe push for more? see what I can hit?
is more than 200fsb easily attainable with the setup I've got?

also, right now AIDA32 reads my "memory read" score @ 3,024mb (the limit being 3,200mb @ 200fsb)
is that a pretty good score? 94.5% of the max bandwidth. :D

post here, as I'm just looking for info and some ideas

Given those temps and hardware, why in the world would you have not tried to push it further?
With a little extra voltage, that chip should at least be able to hit 2.2ghz (11x200), possibly more.

Since you've got PC3200, you'll get the most performance by maxing out the FSB though. For now, leave the multiplier at 10x or 10.5x and see how far you can push the FSB. You might have to lower your timings slight, raise the memory voltage, or both. If the FSB can't go much higher than 200 FSB, then push the multiplier up to 11x or 11.5x, and see how far you can go using a core voltage of 1.75v or lower.

As long as your load temps stay around 50-55C or lower, you'll be fine. The Bartons are good up to 70C or more, but I start getting worried when the temps go past 55C.

GO GO GO!

that ram wont let you hit much more above 200FSB and still match it. i suggest buying some higher quality RAM or i dont see you getting much farther than where you are at.

Yeah, I'll bet that you should be able to run that chip at 2200Mhz (or 3200+ PR)...my 2600 does it on stock voltages (11*200 @ 1.65V). Go for it.
