i cant wait for VW to get this technology

VW recalls 1.2 million vehicles due to cylinder reactivation problem.
Up to 4 cylinders on VW's V-6 are possible to shut off, of these 4, 3 are known to have issues being re-established with power. Thus causing balancing issues. causing frame bending, inability to accelerate, and did i mention bent frames?

Neat idea. After reading Mike's little quote though, I think I'll stick to an '05 Ford Escape hybrid. What do you guys think of those? (yes, I know they're not on sale quite yet)
