Wow pretty sweet. Although I don't like the design too much.. looks too short. But hey it is a Honda, so its like the economy private Jet?

The engine above wing design is great. It allows a low wing with short gear, it keeps the engines out of the airstream around the fuselage, and it avoids the complacations in makeing the air flow smoothly over the fuselage with engines sticking out of it. It's nice to see honda trying something different by doing it.

I'm in the aerospace (civil transport) business as an aerodynamicist. I've read the AIAA papers on how this thing was designed -- it's nothing special (especially how they decided where on top of the wing the engines would go). I won't begin to touch your assertions on the benefits of engine placement. It's 100 times more complicated than that. However, to an armchair aerodynamicist it looks great I'm sure.
There is one ver, VERY important thing you must keep in mind for this aircraft that is the most important factor in its design. It is not being designed to make money. This fact has a MASSIVE impact on its design. There are lots of things you can do if you're not worried about profitability.
