Honda Toyota

Oh great, here comes the ATOT Japan complex again.

We have the Japan ass-kissers and the Japan sucks and its their fault we're sucking.

Honda Toyota = most powerful force ever?

Japan > everything

I have to say though, these two makes are actually the only japanese brands that consistently build quality products over the years.

Everyone else, isuzu, mitsu, suzuki, subaru, even nissan all built significant numbers of trash cars at some point within the last generation or so.

Reliable car companies.

Not everything Japanese is that way tho. Like all the other Japanese car companies. Sony's products tend to be very average in reliability with electronics, but their picture quality in HDTVs is usually up there.

Toyota and Honda have had their share of POS cars/ engines......oil gunk FTW......

I would actually place Nissan in the top spot overall.....though the cars are uglier as a general rule

Let's not forget Nissan needed Renault to be saved.

Heh, I know where this thread is going. At first, I thought this was a proposed merger/buyout thread. WOOT. err... nm.

Still, I have to say this. Those Korean manu's, something has to be said about a car offering as good a warranty as you can get out of the box. Yeah, you're going to say "they HAVE to offer that much cause their cars suck." If that was the case, then they'd be bankrupt within a few years time. Meanwhile, over in japland, 3yr/36k warranties? Um... HELLO. That warranty is designed to save their pocketbooks for when they do start making craptastic cars... not that they are. Same can be said about US autos (save chrystler who has lead the pack in their warranties).

Anyway, enough of that. I'll take whomever makes a 100mpg car for under 10k USD.
