The No. 2 U.S. automaker gets battery packs for the hybrid system, which twins a gasoline engine to an electric motor and batteries to boost fuel economy, mainly from Japan's Sanyo Electric Co., and other parts from various suppliers, such as Toyota affiliate Aisin Seiki Co.

Wow, Toyota affiliates giving preference to Toyota. Holy sh|tballs.

and the GM made ambulance breaks down half way to the hospital due to gas guzzlers mileage it gets.

big surprise, you license "your" technology from another company, then you're suprised when that company has used up all the parts for it already.

Ford "licensed" their technology from Toyota because they both develop some of the same stuff but toyota was first and had the patent.
