Supposedly, the Acura name is primarily used in North America. In most other countries the cars we know as Acuras are sold as Hondas. (like the Honda NSX)

didn't those have longitudinally mounted engines, even though they were FWD?
 
I don't know why they bother having the Acura brand...they've diluted it so much with econoboxes that it hardly stands for "luxury" anymore.
