Honda lawnmower + synthetic oil

I need to change the oil on my lawnmower. I use Mobil 1 for my cars and wouldn't mind using some for the mower provided I have the correct weight lying around as extra. Is this okay for small engines or should I stick with dino oil?

It's a 4 cycle engine. And it wouldn't be a waste of money since it's left-over extra oil from my car's oil changes. I wouldn't have to go to the store and buy any oil this way.

I don't know a god damn thing about lawnmowers, but I'd suspect that it'd be a fairly pointless excercise being that they don't do nearly the same kind load as a car, but if you've got some extra lying around, why the hell not.
