they may just totally reprogram your keys for you and give you a new one. that will run you between 50-150 bucks.. i know it sucks but hey.. thats life 🙂

I just bought 2003 accord ex v6 this weekend and the dealer said that the valet key has a chip inside as well as the 2 master keys. It costs about $40 to replace the valet key and $80 to replace the master key. I think it might cost a bit more to reprogram the ignition system with the new code and to reprogram the chip in the key.

I want to ask if you sometimes have trouble starting the accord on the first crank? This has happened to me twice. I'm going to the dealer today to have some work done on it and I want to bring this up to them.

never have problem starting the car but i do have problem with my front brakes going bad after 3000 miles

thanks for everyone link will contact dealer to see how much would it cost top replace key/reprogram all the other ones

I'm guessing you have insurance on the car, right? Just let things slide and see if you can find the key before paying those bills. If someone was going to steal your car, they would prolly already have it and if they're pros, they don't need the key.

programming your key for a honda..

ur mile may vary.. you may need to sign up for the forum.. I have no idea if this works or not.

That's the procedure for keyless-remotes, not the ignition key, although I'd bet that the procedure for the keys is similar.

actually what year is the car.. the new one is remote + key in one so this will apply if its 2003+
