3500 isn't bad but buying someone elses swapped honda is always a gamble, no clue how well the swap was done

what ECU does it have? does VTEC work?

looks like the paint doesn't match, been in at least one accident, salvage title?

I'm kind of worried about that car. It looks like the previous owner has tried some performance modification, but wasn't very good at it. Unless you can do your own work on the car, avoid.

Also, if you're willing to go for a regular Civic (vs. Civic Si), you can get a 2000 for that kind of money.

I love the gasket maker all over the exhaust header, or the zip tied AC lines, the truck lines being way off, or the awesome leak leading to the driveway the car is parked in. It's the perfect car.

;)

Oh, and a panel missing on the passenger side of the interior. Fun.

Woah, look at that front fender too. The headlight almost fits.

That car is a beater.

Front end doesn't line up. Headlight doesn't fit right. Paint doesn't match. Trunk doesn't line up. Rear bumper is tweaked. Sloppy work on the engine. Interior panel missing. Wires hanging out from the dash. etc.

Keep looking, unless you don't mind getting your hands dirty re-doing things the previous owner "fixed". I would bet that there's copious amounts of duct tape and zip ties lurking inside that thing.

EDIT: I missed it before, but LOL at the multiple sets of tire marks in the street directly behind the driveway. Looks like someone maybe was practicing their launch techniques before they sell the car??

If your budget is $3500, I'd be looking for maximum reliability for the dollar, and you won't find it with this car.

People say the Japanese have been building better interiors for a while now. That must have been a short while.

i would avoid this like the plague. I used to have an ej and that was a really good car.... but that thing you linked is a "project car" that never was. Unless you are really handy and knowleagable with Honda, you should jsut pass this up and look for a solid car that hasn't been Frankensteined together using bondo and zip ties.

Here's my 97 EX, lowered with just boltons. I ended up selling it for 4200...see how all the body panels are still aligned...
