Nice car in my opinion. It's obviously a very small car, but for the size is very spacious inside. Great gas mileage, though I'm not sure if they really do get as high as advertised. I rode in one in China and it seemed like a solid car. Practicality first. :)

i needed to get a car in january and wished it was available in the US at the time. however, it was not, and i ended up picking up and XB, which i am quite please with. but for the price, i think the Fit is a great car.

Do go look at it. They really are cool in person.

Might have to order it and wait though, demand is crazy.

Dammit, i thought calling it a 'Jazz' here was dumb, but 'Fit' is even dumber. Conjurs up a nice image of it suddenly twitching madly & ranting & raving though ;)

i admittedly kind of like it. at least, in person. have not driven it. Something tells me I won't like that.. ~100hp at the crank... it'll take forever to get anywhere--i like some kind of acceleration.

but I popped the hood.. there looks to be like a lot of room in there... throw a supercharger and some EMS and it might be kinda fun (pointless, but one of those "if I had money to burn I'd do" things). the engine is so tiny though.. it might blow up w/ boost.. haha.

Oh Yes Indeedy.

It's pretty awesome, gets good reviews here. Looks much more like a real car too..and it comes with curtain air bags. It's the replacement for teh Echo here iirc, been on sale for quite a while tho...

The Honda Fit comes with standard side curtain airbags also iirc.

The Honda Insight Hybrid gets ~60 mpg. Check that one out, they are going to discontinue it after '06 and start with a Fit hybrid in '07.

The honda fit is very big if you sit in one. I'm 6'3" 285lbs and i had more room in it than my moms new nissan altima.

I always wonder why no one considers the Scion xB anymore? It has more rear legroom than a BMW 7 series. It's a bigger interior than a fit, good gas mileage and good build quality and god knows you dont buy a subcompact for the style. Everyone orgasams every time fit is mentioned but no one cares for the xB?

because we don't want to drive a box. and you just compared a 7 series to an ecobox.

you are not alone... but I am not with you :)

I think they look great... inside out. fit and finish is very fine and detailed for a small car like this.
downside: price. Plus dealers are jacking it up as supply runs low.

noooo way.... the altima is HUGEEEEEEEEEEEE! front and back.

not that I am knocking the Fit, but I don't think a Fit can be larger than the Altima in any aspect.... (maybe other than rear headroom since it's a hatchback)

Check out Nissan Versa. It looks much better than Fit, IMO. Fit kind of looks like a bastard child of Honda Odyssey and Chevy Aveo.

because the econobox has more interior space. Besides the honda fit is pretty ugly too.

No, my impression so far is ugly too. Sometimes Hondas grow on me after a while. Anyway, I skimmed an article in Car and Driver recently that compared the small cars and the Honda Fit won by a good bit. They liked the way it drove and the flexible cargo arrangements and such. It sounds like a winner if you can get past the looks. The Toyota Yaris came in 4th or something...
