But it does look like a Prius raped an Audi - not just the hybrid part, the rear of a prius welded to the front of an audi.

I don't understand where this car fits in?
Its a hybrid sports coupe that will be severely underpowered - so lets take sports out of it.
We are left with a hybrid coupe that has a bigger engine than the Insight so mileage will not be as good.
Whats the point? I suppose there is always a niche market but the Fit has more versatility and most likey better mileage.....
And the ass - if you want the lowest coefficient of drag to boost mileage the ass has to look like the Prius/Insight.

You do realize that the original CRX-si had like 108 horsepower and was widely lauded for it's sportiness (won a "10 best sports cars of all time" award I think)? Also, the Fit is praised for being pretty sporty with about that same amount of power.
I don't know how well this car will fare as a sports coupe, but I'm excited to see because this is the type of car that would fit my lifestyle well. Deliver me a car that gets 35 MPG, is relatively fun to drive, comfortable, and ~$20K, and you have my interest.

What makes people think this car will get 35 MPG? Try 45 MPG and you're in the ballpark. It will likely carry less weight than the Insight.

Of course, but the 108HP from the CRX SI had all of 2000lbs to push. And the Crovette with 225HP back in the 80's was also widely lauded for its speed, handling, and sportiness.
It's 20+yrs in the future - lets compare this car to its market segment in todays world.
Why would you buy the CRZ over the Forte Coupe, Focus ST Coupe, Cobalt SS, Scion TC, Civic Coupe, or Honda Fit.
Do people really want a 2-seat FWD coupe that gets 35mpg with 118HP?

Another case of butt fail. You shouldn't get around to the back and say, "What happened to the butt!?!"

If it matches the 2010 Prius in MPG I'm sold.. if it's an abomination like the Insight, forget it.
Are all of you guys effing retards? 35mpg?That's a joke.
This car is going to be badass. I'm totally buying one.
It will replace my 1st gen Insight perfectly. Yes, it will have many of the same downfalls as the 1st gen Insight(namely, its small).. but other than that, it looks to be full of win. 6 speed manual. Upgraded IMA motor with 58ftlbs of torque.
And I don't think it looks bad at all? Then again, I drive a 1st gen Insight.. but yeah.
I saw fuel economy numbers leaked somewhere. I can't find it now, gah.. I believe it was like 51/59 though. This car is going to be badass.
Of course it isn't the fastest thing, but if they deliver on the fun to drive aspect.. it will be a winner. The 1st gen Insight is anemic by even the power standards of the mid 90s.. lol. But it's fun to drive.
Edit: Here it is, 52/59MPG.
If this car has lean burn technology, we will see amazing numbers just like the 1st gen Insight is able to deliver. That's my hope, at least.
