That is so confusing, why are their so many freaking trim levels?

I thought it was cool how mazda 6 has only TWO trim levels: I and S.

And everything else was a-la-carte. Simple as that.

2003 Civic EX Auto was $0 down $302 a month for 5 years. Not to bad considering interest and taxes in the montly price.

The 2000 Si has a completely different engine than the other civics. A B-series as opposed to the D-series in all others. 160hp, 8000rpm redline, much better suspension. It's a fun car for a Civic, but I'm selling it for a Cooper S :).

Well, if they're talkin the new Si its got a K-series and the car isn't nearly as sporty as your 2k. I wouldn't mind having a 2k Si myself:)

Put down the crackpipe. None of that is correct.

perhaps you could have corrected me since you are so wise.

Perhaps you could read the buttload of other posts that are above the one you made.

I fail to see how this is a "glorified minivan". The Si doesn't try to be practical, economical, or a "people-mover". Save the "it wishes it was a minivan" insults for a more worthy target.

Well, considering it's slow, doesn't handle well and is a hatch I can see where dtyn would say that. I sure as hell wouldn't spend money on one.

Those are the few I can remember when I got my 2003 Civic EX. Not sure on the 2004 models though.

one more minor difference is the color matched side view mirrors.

well, supposedly enginewise, the new SI has just as good, if not better potential. You can put in a K24/accord block, but use an RSX-S head. The nice thing about the K series engines is they make a lot of torque. Honda probably got tired of people bitching about no low end power.

you can put one of these in the new civic SI

Remember, k series engine tuning is in it's infancy, these hybrids will only get stronger with time. :Q

SORRY I FIXED THE LINK

HONDA REVISED CIVIC FOR ASIA

The high trim civic sedan in asia now has the K20 engine found in the base RSX and Civic SI. That's the civic we should have gotten. :(

For the lower trim civics, I'd rather just get a corolla. The standard corolla engine is significantly stronger than the DX, LX and EX USDM civics. Plus toyota has TRD options for the corolla now, including a full line of bolt ons and a supercharger, all of which retain the factory warranty.

how does what i post not jive with the posts above mine? besides the fact that the si is a turd hatchback which i wasn't specific enough about, there isn't much difference. hell the si for the previous gen was literally an ex + mods.

is it really that hard for you to point out what i said wrong? it can't be much more effort then attacking me.

THere's really only 3 - DX, LX, EX.

You can think of the HX, SI and Hybrid as pretty much separate cars.

I don't believe there is a Civic SE and I'm positive there is no Civic VP. They had those for the Accord, but not the Civic.

Ew. You're kidding, right? Ok, so it's not a minivan, it's just a piece of crap.
