I'm not a huge believer in JD Powers ratings in general, but what was most interesting in the Forbes article was that the Honda Civic out-sold the Ford F-150 for the month of May (by about 25%!), which marked the first time since December 1991 that a car has been the top-selling vehicle instead of a pickup.
Below the Civic, these cars also outsold the F-150: Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, Honda Accord.
No wonder Ford and GM are talking about closing truck plants. $4 gas seems to be the real tipping point in getting people to change their behavior.
