Honda announces lineup for Tokyo Motor Show

SPORTS4 Concept

Seems to me like the SPORTS4 might offer a hint at some of the design cues and inspiration that might make it into the next TSX (since it hasn't had a refresh, probably won't see it until 2008?) But it looks like Honda wants to create a true sports sedan to compete with the IS and G35, and here in the USA it would make sense to replace the TSX (an Accord) with this model.

So how do you compete with the big boys? How bout some SH-AWD, sequential manual and a turbo?

The other new model to debut at the Tokyo Motor Show is the new S2000...no pics yet. Of course, there will also be a slew of new motorcycles, ATVs, Japan-only vehicles and other stuff no one cares about.

The 2006 TSX has many notable changes from the 04/05 release. Sure, it's not a complete refresh a la IS series, but there are some body differences and a bunch of componentry upgrades like foglights standard, bluetooth, iPod integration, etc.

i dont think the Acura TSX competition are the IS, G35 or BMW and so on
the Acura TL competes against those cars

I don't know. Maybe they may be comparable in features but the Acura TSX still feels like a step below all three of those. Well below...

4 cylinder, FWD, and it's the European Accord. No sh!t it's a step below. Anyone who says otherwise is obviously a fanboy.

That's the crux of the problem. The TL is a larger car--more of a touring sedan. The TSX is the right size compared with the G35 and IS, but it can't compete on performance or handling.

i hope it's that car! with 4-cyl and a blower + shawd v2.0 + euro civic dash!!!

ENGINE START....where do i sign up?!?!?!

they need to start getting rid of that sh|t - old school.

two cameras with lcds integrated into the dash display!! that's what i'm talking about. looks hot and reduces wind resistance. honda started the gadget craze w/the TL - they need to take it up a notch...BAM!! 😀

instead of focusing on driving the rear wheels, SH-AWD focus on the front. IIRC, SH-AWD can only give 50 percent of all power to the rear.
Evo'8 can give 100 percent of power to ANY wheel. (well, if Jeremy Clarkson didn't lie)

I love the TSX. For its price, it is a badass car. 😀

TSX out-the-door is at least 30k. I can buy a 325i for that.

OTD for a 325i is more like 33k. and since you're in Los Angeles too, I'm sure you've noticed that the whole city drives either a G35 or a 325i.

yes, and I absolutely love how the TSX looks. but it's just too pricey and not so much of a car.
