Honda Accord experts - Whats the diff between spoilers for the previous generation?

We've got a 2000 Accord SE 4 door (actually the wifes) and I am thinking of getting her an OE style rear spoiler for a gift. Yeah, yeah, they don't do much but she likes the look of them... anyhow...

From what I understand, the spoilers from 98-02 all fit eachother, but there where 2 different styles of spoilers actually sold for them, with a changeover around 2000 model year.

Anyone know what the difference was (what changed)? Any opinions on which look better?

If you are going to buy one, check out ebay first. There is a company that sells OEM spoilers for about 180...and that is painted to match your year of car.

Im thinking about buying one for my 98 Accord.
