If I were to hypothetically buy a Honda Accord Coupe ('03 or '04), would I be a loser if I didn't get the V6 and/or leather seats? Would riceboys expect me to race it because it is a coupe?

I don't know, but the leather makes a big difference. Whether you get V6 or not, depends if you race and/or need the power.

Honestly, I'd wouldn't mind owning a 4cyl. 5-speed EX with leather, the navigation system, and a couple of exterior options :) In fact, I kinda prefer the 4cyl. I'd like to have the sedan, but the coupe is def. nice. Seriously, WTF does it matter what ricebois do? If that's the real deterrent for you to buy the car, I think you'd be better off spending your money on a psychiatrist.

I like the older generation ones better. The 98-02 I think.

Go for the V6 package, and the stock spoiler makes it look much more sporty as well (On both the older generation and the new ones).

I wouldn't care if it was the 4 banger or the V6... and dont worry about riceboys. :) I know you live in LA so i'm guessing you see them running around a lot. :D

You make your purchase decision based on what riceboys would think of you?
What you decide on should be based on your own preference. Ya, you're a loser if you didn't get leather, sunroof, and a V6

I would buy the 2004 Honda Accord Coupe V6 with fabric seats equipped with NAV.

The V6 is probably overkill for most people. I've driven the 4 cylinder auto sedan and it has enough power to get around without feeling like a slouch. The I4 makes more torque than it does HP so response is very linear.

I4 sticks run mid 15s, I4 auto run mid 16s in the quarter, not too shabby for a daily driver.

Yes I probably do need a psychiatrist. I dunno, I was just asking, because like sometimes when you see a lexus with fabric seats I'm just thinking, like, wtf is that? I guess I'm shallow.

Dude, a Lexus and a Honda are two VERY DIFFERENT cars.

Thanks to all who replied. I just wanted to get a feel for what to expect so that I can do more research on it and then maybe go for a testdrive. I live in Michigan now by the way, not LA. So it'll be colder and I guess leather gets kinda cold, I dunno.

Yeah of course. I was just wondering if it was the same deal because I have never see a coupe with fabric seats, whereas I've seen sedans with fabric seats quite often.

my question would be that of the style, while it has grown on me since the intro, i still dun like it. looks like a civic up front and a bad benz rip off on the back.. but that is just my opinion eh?

go test drive both, and see if dropping near 30k for the decked out v6, go for it, other wise, if you can live with the lesser i4, go w/ that. it's one thing to have your parents run your life, but ricers effecting your car buying decisions? common..

I have the 2k with leather and v6 and I would definitely recommend it. The leather is a light tan, looks sharp and is much more durable and easier to care for than fabric, and contrary to the previous post, it definitely does not get too hot in the summer. The v6 is always great for highway acceleration etc., yet I don't think I've ever floored it in either gear.

I'll just say about ricers, if you buy a stick I4, you'll be able to smoke most ricers. If anyone burns you, well, that car wasn't rice then. :Q

Just don't race anyone and you won't have a problem. :p

I don't really want to race and therefore I don't really want to have a stick. I just like the way the coupe looks. I personally don't even like driving fast either. I just like the way the car looks and it seems like a good value. Can those reasons be good enough for me to buy a coupe or am I better off with a different make/model?

Well, I admit I like to drive fast like once in a blue moon when it's late at night and there are no cars on the freeway... but I mean, I'm not an adrenaline junky or anything. I mean, I go like 75-80 on a 65 because I'm somewhat impatient, but I don't feel the need to burn rubber or hug the corners or anything of the sort.

personally i think you need to grow some balls and be confident in what you want to buy, and not so be damn paranoid about what others think of you.
