Which company makes the best cold air intake for honda accord 95 cyl.? I am searching for the AEM CAI but they only have 98-01 v6 model. Does that model fit my 95? Any other one? Any input is welcome. Thanks

Let me guess. You want to make your Automatic, Shake-and-Bake V6 accord into a "performance" car :)
Save your money for cosmetic mods, or trade in your car for a Maxima.

IMHO, accord is one of those cars you want to keep stock. I don't think you are going to get any HP gain from a CAI that will be worth mentioning, esp. since you got automagic :)
Let's just say there won't be any cars that you will be able to beat with a CAI that you can't beat now.

if you want sound why don't you modify your exhaust? and by modify I don't mean a coffee can tip. Headers/pipes/muffs the works?

Stillen is one of the best. Although they sell other manf parts. Jsut go to their site and try to find the best price. you can go to Summit Racing and find the parts there. I don't know if it's cheaper.

Bypass valve? For an inside engine air filter? Don't think so! ;)
You only need a bypass valve if your air filter is close to the ground (cold air).
I know they have different models. Just choose the one you want to go with.

BTW: get some underdrive pulleys while you're at it! you'll thank me later. :D

-edit-
I second the exhaust suggestion. that'll give you quite a bit more performance gain if you combine it with the other mods. how much you willing to spend?

You kinda got the shaft by getting the V6. There aren't very many parts engine wise for the 5th gen. V6. It was barely any better performance wise than a manual 4 banger.

Intake, exhaust is probably it. And as said already you won't need a bypass if it is a short ram intake.

v6 is more powerful than 4cyl. from my experience. I don't have that kind of money to do the whole exhaust system (~$2000?). The intake is probably the next best thing rather than the headlights.

i don't know on price i've never known someone that had an exhaust system done on an import other than a cat back.

If you aren't doing it yourself figure to spend about half in parts and the other half in labor. Really depends on what you do.. if you buy the entire system or you have your guy fabricate pipes..

just depends.. most will charge you more if you bring them the stuff... because they want to sell you their stuff.

again, I'm not going to be a good source on price because I'm not into imports or anything new really.

Your 95 V6 is 2.7L I believe whereas the 98-01 Accords have clean-sheet 3.0L motors. Completely different.

Any decent shop should be able to weld up a custom cat back exhaust with mandrel bends for around $500.

Yeah, 95 v6 is 2.7L so different engine from 3.0L. I don't know if the intake is different. Stillen intake is $220 so probably I'll get that one.
