Homeworld 2 SCREENS!!!!

Homeworld was one of the best games ever. It was awesome on every level.

I've been looking forward to a TRUE sequal for a long time and here are some screens

Is the original really good? It's pretty cheap, and should run great with my radeon.

Just the name gets me intrigued. What is the whole story?

Maybe I'm missing something but those graphics look identical to the original's. Even the level of detail doesn't look much better.

its a space Real Time Strategy game. It had some of the best 3d graphics and controls of its time. I still pull it out and skirmish every once in a while. You can see what other ppl say but I LOVED this game....

The storyline was really in depth and well done and the music was awesome as well.

Is it good single player? I remember a friend of mine raving about it then. I have some time and an old laptop that should run it just fine. I just started playing starcraft. How does Homeworld compare?

I played it for a while too until tribes 2 came out. I think it would be really cool and i know it was done through mods but thats what I envision a Star Trek or Star Wars game being. It would really be sweet to experince the ST/SW universe from that perspective.

My complaint about the original is that the graphics were somewhat blocky, and these new screenshots are quite similar. Then again, it's not easy to play the game at max detail; you have to back off and work on strategy and tactics. Interesting game though, and I still play it once in a while.

One of the few games I played all the way through and I loved it the whole time. Getting use to the 3d space takes a while but once you do its really cool.

yeah the Star Wars mod was fairly well done...


Its not a whole lot like starcraft.. its still a RTS but its different

I loved this game, in fact I think I'll play it again this weekend. I still have the Homeworld: Cataclysm in the box, haven't had time to play it yet.

how do you know that the last "two" levels were to hard when you couldn't make the previous one?

Sorry to drag this back up but that looks damn fine for a pre-alpha (work in progress) build of the graphics rendering code. Now IMHO Homeworld is the best RTS if not coolest game I have ever played. The only things I have played more are Counter-Strike and GTA3. Now Cataclysm, on the otherhand, sucked IMHO. I had both games but I seem to have lost my HW disk, I still have the case and key but now CD =(.
