I just picked up a couple ZyXEL NBG318S routers from Newegg, and while they are FAST when they work, I've been having intermittent connectivity issues that I have not been able to diagnose.
Quick background: I left my existing U-Verse router, a connected one ZyXEL to that. The other one is connected to my PC. Both are configured as access points, and have unique IP's on the network. The one by my PC broadcasts wireless as well.
For whatever reason - and this only seems to happen when I am away from my house - the access points will randomly stop communicating with each other. Sometimes, they will be able to reconnect... but it takes like an hour. Usually it's faster for me just to reboot the thing. Anyway, this doesn't really work well for me because I like to stream my music while I am away from my house.
Any ideas as to what may be happening? It's frustrating because it hasn't happened yet while I am actually AT my house...
Any help would be appreciated.
