Anyone have the problem of keep getting redirected to bestsearch.cc? Anyone know what the solution is?

I'm not a novice with this sort of stuff, but I need to explain to my dad over the phone how to remove it. Just having trouble finding much documentation on this one...

I've found some things on the internet, but most of them end in 'i tried what you said, but i still have the problem', i'm just trying to find something a bit more reliable. Guess thats why i'm asking here.

The solution is a) AdAware, and b) not visiting any more sketchy porn sites.

sounds like you got spyware installed on your computer.

go to download.com

and search for spybot.. and download the program spybot search and destroy.

that should take care of your problems.

If you take a few seconds to look in the Software forum, you will find a helpful sticky thread on this.

It's not necessarily porn, the stuff's all over the place for people who don't know to be cautious. A lot of free/share-ware installs it, p2p programs especially. But yeah, wrong forum.

I find the search tool to be of immense value.
Search the reg and then search the C drive for best, search and .cc or other keywords.
