Homemade Rounded ATA/100 Cables, Any Luck?

Worked fine for me. Took a while longer though.

I did the 5 wire per cut thing, so they stack up kind of square.

Used small strips of really good cloth tape evey couple of inches.

They sure move around alot better. Which is important when they are the generic 18 inch variety.

I did it with my ata 33 cables and ruined 2 of em hehe :Q

My ata66/100 cables are so damn fine I will probably ruin them too

i thouhg i ruined them at first but i had just forgotten to install teh ata 66 drivers. I did a combo of 2/3 cuts. Fit nicely in 3/8's split loom. A little less flexible now though. I did expose about 3 wires but a little electical tape fixed that.

I used the zip-tie method on my ata100 cable and it worked out fine.
