Homemade prommy setups?? hobbiest

I am trying to get a little cooler (a lot cooler) for my pc, hoping I can get higher than 2500 MHz, I wanted to start a project, it doesn't matter if it takes long, or is tedious, but money is the biggest issue! I can't spend $500+ on a prometia for my PC, but I was curious how I could make a homemade one. I know there has to be someone on here that has done it before, just curious what type of parts, and setup they have. Thanks!

I imagine you could find a used refrigerator and mod the heck out of it. Put a watercooler style radiator instead of the one on back of the frig. And instead of the cooling lines a frig uses you could plumb in a waterblock style radiator. One of the big problems you will run into though is condensation and frost build up. The commerical phase-vapor cooling solutions for computers use a heater coil in the cooling head to try an eliminate this problem. You could go the standard route used by peltier users and just frost/water proof your setup and don't forget your pins on your processor (common place for corrosion and water build-up. Overclockers.com has lots of articles on using peltiers and how to prepare your motherboard.

Good luck....
