Homemade magnetic shielding?

Ive got these nice speakers here, but theyre not shielded, and Its not really possible for me to put them anywhere but pretty close to the monitor.

Any way I can deal with the magnetic field?

strange...we just had this discussion over at our forums. anyhoo...the guy who had the problem, eventually bought a LCD monitor instead. we suggested getting stands for the speakers to move them apart, but that didn't fly too well. PM me if you want the thread to the discussion. don't want to self promote for no reason.

lol... the guy is willing to buy a LCD monitor, but not some speaker stands... man

So basically the conclusion I'm getting here is that its a waste of time to even think about it?

I have them a decent distance right now, about 6 inches to the sides and 3 inches back, but I dont think Im going to be able to put them more than 3 inches to the sides in a week when I get back to my dorm. I could always put them on the top floor of the desk, but then it wouldnt sound as good.

Guess I'm stuck with the damn crappy z560s.
