Your daughter needed some money, but didn't want to come right out and ask you. So she gave her phone to her friend from Biology class and told him to wear some ratty clothing and then call you and tell you that he's homeless. Knowing what a giving person you are, she knew that you would come to get the phone and leave the "good man" a reward.

Pretty ingenious if I do say so myself 😉

Those are some sad assumptions. Granted many are like that but "they" are not all addicts... Plenty of homeless people are "normal" folks who lost their job, couldn't pay rent, lost their car, couldn't get a job w/o car and a home to shower in and wash clothes, etc. It's a mean cycle many fall into.

But of course, go ahead and think "they" just use heroin and drink themselves to sleep... :roll:

McDonald's coupon from Sunday newspaper, buy Big Mac Value Meal get a Big Mac for free. So she got 2 Big Macs, large fry and hot coffee.

We were outside of a Safeway when someone asked us for $1.81 exactly. Since we just finished shopping, we offered to give him some food, which he declined. Immediately afterwards, a cop drove up and told him that he's arrested for harrassment. The cop cuffed him and took him to his car, then got my wife's statement about what happened. Apparently other people have complained about him....

Yeah,in a fantasy world , maybe. I have been a food vendor for 15 years and I have had some bums come up to my truck asking for something. I offer them any food(used to be pretzels, chips or tortillas) I had taken out of a store as out of date. They would look at me like I was crazy and walk on. I think out of date chips are a bit tastier than the cuisine they get from some dumpsters. So I am now an inconsiderate bastard and they get nothing from me.

No, the newspapers did though. There was a big report about her in the newspaper, she sent her daughter to some fancy dance school in Europe and her son is a well-off lawyer. She is known as the "shaky lady" or something like that.

Lots of people from across the country come to the city thinking they'll have it easier or something. But the problem is you can't easly get a job without a fixed address, and you can't get a place without money.
