Homefront crashes constantly

I cannot get this game to stop crashing. I've played through it until you get to the cutscene regarding the north korean truck convoy and then boom, crash to desktop. i've looked around, tried a few things people say works for them, compatibility mode, running as admin, changing the config file, reinstalling, nada.

Anyone else play this fun first person shooter but have crash problems with it? What did you finally do to fix the issue?
