Hello all,
About 5 months ago a friend of mine and I built these tables in my basement. They are definitely more sturdy than any assemble yourself desks. Also is convenient to have built in cat5 plugs and 5 outlets per table. They're great for LAN parties.
Sorry the pictures are crappy I only have a Sony DCR-TRV340, decent camcorder sucky stills
.
The starting frame with outlets in place
Kind of hard to see in this pic but there are 3 CAT6 wires in each table
The finished tabletop, tables are 8' x 34"
tables in my basement computer room
seats three prett comfy
The best part is they only cost me about 150 total materials from Lowes. Already had the electrical wire, and the CAT6 wire laying around. And that is including the two 8 ft sheets of oak veneer plywood.
