Homebrew Report #250985

In preparation for a friends wedding, I'm brewing up quite a bit of beer. This is the first batch :

Pre-Nup Kolsch

10 gallon batch:

single step mash, 60 minutes at 150 F
12 pounds Pale Malt
1 pound Special B
1 pound Carapils

hop additions:
1 oz Hallertauer 45 minutes
1 oz Splatt 20 minutes
1 oz Saaz 1 minute

Yeast: 2565 Kölsch Yeast.

OG: 1.040

Hmm sounds good. For personal consumption I am currently fermenting an Apple wine.

3 gal apple wine

10 cans frozen apple concentrate
5 cinnamon sticks
60 cloves
2.5 lbs sugar

1 packet Montrachet yeast

I might do beer next.....

man I wish I had a friend like you when I got married. Nuthin says "I love you man" than the unspoken words between two friends and a good beer.
