Growing your own hops, now that's the sign of a hardcore brewer. If the Cascades come out good you can try Fuggles and Kent Goldings next and send me a batch.

I hate you. I wish I brewed my own beer and grew my own hops. I guess I dont hate you, I am just jealous...

i planted some fuggles last year (at the same time i planted the cascades), but they didn't come back.

Its a very easy hobby to pick up, and one that can be as complex as you want it.

I haven't brewed in a couple of months...going to soon though.

in general it takes between 3-10 hours total time to take a batch from soup to nuts, with 4-6 hours being realistic, spread out over 3 to 12 weeks.
