The electricity produce by Wind Generators has the tendency to jump from electrical sockets and outlets. Wake up people, Tesla designed them that way!

I bet he suddenly cares about birds (although for some reason not the millions more birds killed by climate change.)

Basically Trump bedtime story programming at this point. He famously and irrationally hates windmills

They spoil his view at his deplorable golf club in Scotland. I think he tried to sue the Scottish energy department when they proposed building a few dozen of them offshore?

If I were the Scottish PM, or whoever can authorize this stuff, I'd just go ahead and order 3 dozen off the coast there of his golf course. Watch him throw a fit that he can't do shit about.

This is nothing new. Teddy Kennedy threw a tantrum when a windfarm was proposed off the coast from the kennedy compound.

Most people are environmentalists until it directly affects them.

Trump and Hannity are essentially acting as spokespeople for certain industries that are pushing propaganda campaigns against their competitors.

I predict these three talking points:

Endangered birds getting killed by wind power
People suffering from sonic headaches, yes this is a real thing or a real claimed thing. With a side of the spinning blades can cause seizures in people.
loss of property value because they are unsightly

4th but this is assumed Government costs and how many have failed even when funded by the Government

The Scottish government rejected his complaint and he lost his court case. The wind farm off Aberdeenshire went online this summer.

I've never understood why conservatives are always trying to spin technologies like solar and wind in a negative way. Why lie about the efficacy of a technology? Do conservatives disfavor these technologies simply because liberals seem to like them? If so, that is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Hell, if I had enough property I'd let whoever wanted to put windmills all over it. I could retire and live off the lease payments.

Farmers and ranchers are of a similar mind. Wind leases are good economic protection against variable commodity prices. With Trump pushing ag exports into the toilet I would not be surprised to see an uptick in rural interest for wind and solar since it not only pays the farmers but generates needed tax income for counties/municipalities that have few options.

The worst part is knowing that some of our resident die-hard conservatives will promptly use Hannity's false talking points while trying to attack renewable energy... of course, without realizing that the people who told them to attack renewable energy are being bribed to promote fossil fuels.

Its because they're paid to. Simple as that, oil companies have been paying them to spout this narrative. Average shit for brains conservatives buy it because of their comprehensive acceptance of conservative bullshit. That liberals support them just reinforces their underlying idiotic beliefs (meaning, they see it as proof that Obama is intentionally trying to hurt the country and waste their money, which they already believed, its just that when combined with the oil soaked lies by Republican politicians it provides the "evidence" they need to really believe it).

One funny aspect of that is that the nuttier "off the grid" ones actually use solar and wind to get electricity for their middle of nowhere lifestyles. A lot of them would be outright enthusiasts for it if they hadn't been gaslit to hell and back with brain rotting propaganda.

Electricity from wind has special waves in it that cause cancer. In fact all non-coal sources of electricity do. The only cancer free electricity comes from coal, good old clean coal. Hand scrubbed by young hands in the great coal washes of West Virginia. Also smoke from coal fired plants makes your lungs stronger.

Remember to be safe you must demand coal produced electricity only. Anything else is some dirty liberal trying to kill you.

Keep an eye out for chemtrails!

This. What we are seeing now is the EXACT same thing the tobacco industry did for 30 years after science formed a strong consensus in the 1950s.

The energy companies have just taken a page from the tobacco playbook, added a lot more money, and are running that play as long as they can.
