Are there any good internet TV services out there? I am sure it has been discussed before. I went online and most of the stuff I could find was tuner/pc plug ins that allow you to connect services through your pc. I only need cable news and I enjoy the movie services like Showtime and Starz.

If I switched from the Digital cable Service my Internet price would increase $20. So its hard to shuck these people for Cable News and Movie stations. Anyone have ideas as my needs are a 1) a basic remote to switch TV stations and 2)Cable News and the Movie Services. In a perfect world I could pay for Showtime etc. and Cable news and receive the local TV Stations for free. I would prefer not to use Hulu or Netflix or Roku (except as part of any TV/PC Tuner), so my choices are limited or none. Are there any Internet TV services that allow you to buy Showtime or Starz packages?

Not that I'm aware of. Most internet access to programming is based on an current TV subscription. If true internet TV was offered the cable companies would take a massive massive hit. (an instantaneously implement restrictive internet caps to get the business back.)

I thought anti competitive practices by business was illegal (lolololoolllooollooo).

If someone can do it just as good or better for cheaper. Shut them down.

"an instantaneously implement restrictive internet caps to get the business back"

Or simply call it "An unwelcome internal penetration from the non frontal direction to get the business back." I think in Medieval England they would say that Internet Cable would be "poaching" customers from them.
