So I had a Pioneer receiver that decided it no longer like taking audio inputs from anything and playing sound. I exchanged it for a new one. Now the volume seems to oscillate slightly. I am wondering if my front speakers might be going bad as they are kinda old. Is it possible that these speakers could have damaged my returned receiver?
I haven't really had time to check the speaker wire but I have tried RCA, digital coax and optical from the same source and the problem replicates on all of the inputs
It could also be my cable box (the source in question) but again I really haven't had time to check. I will continue to do so, but I am concerned about damaging the receiver and that is why I am asking now
the receiver in question is a Pioneer VSX816k
