Been mulling over upgrading to 4K over the past few months. This morning I decided to dive in head first. Found a deal on the LG 55" 4K OLED bundled with a Xbox One S, bundle price meant that the Xbox came for free. I figure if I am going to upgrade to 4K I might as well do it right. Coming from a 55" Westinghouse 1080P that I have never been happy with, very poor image quality. Bought the following from Amazon:

LG Electronics OLED55C6P Curved 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart OLED TV

It's only a very slight curve. Not extreme like other curved TV's I have seen. Plus this is the only OLED in this price range that offers 3D, a feature I wanted.

Not only that, but if you sit close enough to your TV, curved can actually be better than flat. For this size however, you would have to be no more than 5-6 feet away. Curved starts to make a little more sense on the 65" model.

Nice, just be aware that OLED TVs do have higher input lag for gaming vs some LCDs like Samsung KS movels. It's better than last year's models though.

The C6 got the following scores
1080p 60hz - 34ms
4k 60hz - 34ms
4k 60hz + HDR - 67.5ms

Just for comparison a Samsung KS9500 is rated at the following
1080p 60hz - 20.5ms
4k 60hz - 20.7ms
4k 60hz + HDR - 20.6ms

Some people don't notice it as much as others, some people have played games in HDR and called it unplayable on some TVs. You'll have to see what you think.

Yes could be a little tough in apartment life, then again I did shove a 7.1 system on my desk in college heh. My bedroom in my parent's house as well. Those seem like decent speakers though. Nice stuff otherwise, have fun.
