Finally got everything in place and organized since moving in a couple months ago(I change my mind a lot so I kept rearranging things). Next will be the big screen w/ stand to replace the current TV and A/V stand(probably around Xmas time). Anyone want to donate to my TV fund?? :D

Just thought the HT buffs would enjoy the pics of my meager beginnings since I like looking at other people's setups also.

that looks like the "home theater" I had back in college. Get yourself a big screen TV before you take pics and embarass yourself.

Talk about getting the opposite reaction of what you'd expect in a HT show off thread. I felt sorry for you til I read your helpful response.

The old school Super Nintendo under the tv rocks! You have many carts for it? Thats my fav part of this entire setup :)

But seriously, cmon guys, no need to tear this guy down for what he has or doesnt have. I mean, if ya cant give possitive / helpfull sugestions, then why bother commenting at all?

Haha, not that many, about 10. I still play it sometimes though. Zelda: A Link to the Past is the best SNES game ever.

And thanks for sticking up for me, but it's not needed. This wasn't a brag thread, just felt like posting some pics. Those that are criticizing me are just jealous of my 1337 setup. ;)

BS! I can't even tell what kinda bookshelves those are... and that sub doesn't look too good where it is at dude. When in doubt....FIND A CORNER! All I can make out is an Onkyo receiver, so really I don't care anymore...

Bwaahaha... LMFAO...Reagan.

Seriously dude, what you have is an OK surround setup for your TV. Good enough to cover the basic 5.1. Nothing more.

A true HT typically meets the following minimum requirements:
1) Dedicated room
2) Calculated seating distances and viewing angles
3) Front projection setup
4) > 90" screen
5) Built in / permenantly mounted surround sound system components
5) 100% ambient light control
6) (Usually) acoustical treatments
7) Creates the illusion of being somewhere AWAY from the house (i.e. at a theater)

Everything else is just a surround sound system in your living room (even if you do have a 70" plasma TV).
JR..

Wow, some really bitter people in here. In case you didn't catch it the "home theater" was in "quotes" because it's not a "real home theater".

Some of you need to lighten up a bit.

I think you did a fine job for what you were trying to do.

Some of these guys think if they have a huge screen TV or projector, it will make their johnson bigger.
