Home Server WiFi too slow!!!

So I built a cheap $450 home server, but the problem is speeds are only 300 to 800 KB/s, so I was wondering, what is a better way?

I heard powerline is a good option, but I would need a wireless router that can support a 2.4ghz 802.11G and N
 
What speeds are only 300-800? Wireless from your PC to the router?

Read the wireless sticky at the top of the Network forums, good insight as to what wireless can and can't do. Throwing hardware at your problem may not fix it.
