Know what they mean by a node, is that like a switching hub, I know I should know this and I have an idea but I wondered if there is anyone in here that deals directly with this stuff and can give me a better explanation than just "your problem is that your node is cutting off at 7-7:30 every night and needs to be fixed" they said I was the first to report this problem but via pinging they determined it was happening to 12 other people.

any information would be greatly appreciated thanks

Everyone in a specific area around your neiborhood shares a node, which is like a hub, so the more people you have in your area that are on cable the less bandwidth you get, so it would be thier problem to fix the node so this does not happen at 7-7:30. Hope that helped

Guess I should have been more specific and said that it will cut off at either 7 or 7:30 and stay down untill the end of the night, between 11-2 which kind of sucks

and they wont fix it? tell them until they do, you will not pay your bill and will be contacting the BBB, that should get them moving

well I dont know if they are going to fix it or what, it has only been a day since I have let them know, last night it didn't die but was so slow it was practically unusable-I think if it happens again tonight I will really complain because it is really worthless since neither I nor my gf get out of work untill 6:45 and this crap dies out at 7
