Yeah, I believe that trying to make a laptop into a gaming PC is not a very cost-effective. It's not really possible to update the laptop, so it won't keep up with the newest games very well. It's much easier (and cheaper) to keep a desktop up-to-date for gaming.

I'd choose a laptop by finding the least expensive solution that gives you what you need in a laptop. For most folks, that's long battery life and ease of use. But only you can make the final decision. But framerate in BattleField 2 shouldn't be your top priority in making a laptop purchase decision.

QFTQFTQFTQFT I couldn't have worded that any better. I'm a dell tech support agent (actually at work now waiting for a call) and I've played around w/ their 1210/1330 for about a week here at work and if you're looking for a gaming notebook, look elseware. The only dell notebook I would buy for gaming is the 1710. But as said before, the best way to buy a laptop is to go for maximum battery, best size for you, and functionality. Getting a gaming laptop is extremely cost inefficient. Arkaign is right on the money and is just trying to help you avoid making an expensive mistake. Don't fall for the marketing.
