HOME PNA troubles!!!

Got the netgear pa301 pci cards installed in two win98 machines. I installed all drivers and software , but neither computer can see each other. File print sharing isenabled and both are on the same workgroup. what's up???

See what the IP address of one of the computers is and then try to ping it. If it can ping then your network cards are working and you just need to work with Windows' networking software. If you can't ping then the homepna network isn't working right. I've had cases with mine where the computers couldn't see each other in network neighborhood or anything but if I fired up a game like starcraft on both they could see each other in the game.

i connected the phone cord directly to the two comps and guess what, they see each other perfectly. it must be my wiring or something. crap, man i got hpna so i wouldnt have to worry about wiring!!! everything is on line one and i have tried 5 different jacks thorughout the house and i still cannot get the link light to activate.
