home PNA and Win ME

I'm having trouble setting up a home network using Netgear's PA101 http:// http://www.netgear.com/products/pa101ds.shtml
My goal is to share the printer and Qwest DSL connection on the "main" machine with another in the house.

I have two choices when it comes to Internet connection sharing. I can use the software provided by Netgear, or I can use MS ICS. I tried both and ran into walls. The Netgear stuff cannot detect my DSL connection though it's working great. When I run the MS ICS I get a blue screen when the wizard asks for workgroup names :| I can return to Windows, but the app is closed. The blue screen cites "vserver" having barfed.

Also, it seems I cannot simply install the drivers for the device, but rather it has to run this wizard that auto sets stuff in Network properties. I also get a blue screen in the middle of this wizard. I would like to simply set up the protocals and file/ print sharing myself. The machines are nice new Dells with Windows ME installed. Even though both link lights are on, and the machines have Netbui and TCP/IP, and file sharing enabled, if I right click a drive or folder, the "sharing" menu item is not there like it should be.
