Home phoneline problem.

My phoneline at home will not work at 56k. Is it possible to ask the phone company to upgrade it? I always connect @ 26.4kps. I used to live a house a block away from this current one and it always connect @ 48.000kps

You can ask but I doubt they will do anything. It sounds like the problem might be with the lines inside your house.
