I bought 2 USB phoneline networking adapter. Can someone help me with some of the question please.

It's the Netgear PA-101 model that let you network your computers over phoneline.

Alright, I got Windows XP Pro and the OS recognized the thing perfectly, but even thought i have the phone cable connected to the Pa101. it keeps telling me it's not connected. THe "link" light on the PA101 isn't even on. WTF. Does anyone have this damn thing?
 
When i plug the PA101 adapter to the USB port, the "power" light goes up, but when i connected the phone line to it, the "link" didn't light up, that's my problem. I couldn't get it to connect! Does anyone have any explanation?
