home networking with uverse modem

Hi all, I'm trying to take advantage of the cat5e wiring that is throughout our house and needed some direction. We have uverse with the Pace 5268AC Gateway. I've attached pictures of how the tech has it hooked up. The free cable on the left feeds back to basement where there's a switch.

If I understand correctly, I would just have to attach a keystone to the green cable and hook it up to the router. Is there a faceplate that can accommodate both the keystone and the what the uvere tech has set up? Please let me know if there's anything I need to clarify. Thanks.
