Home Network

I just bought a linksys router and it works perfectly...now i'm trying to create a home network using it, i;m trying to get two computers to share, and i used the home network setup wizard. but for some reason, WinXP tells me that MSHOME cannot be accessible...i put both computers using the same workgroup name MSHOME but they cant see each other for some reason plus i disabled the firewall that WinXP has on my internet connection, and i suspect the router has something to do with it....what do i have to do to get this thing working? please help

are you using premade cat 5 cables or ones that you made if you made them check to see if each wire is all the way to the end of the rj-45 connector and check that the colors are in the right order you also need to make sure the router is configured to be connected the way you have it set up
