Home network with XPpro & win2000

Will these two OS see each other?

Built a system for a friend of mine with XPpro but the other 2 computers at his house have win2000. They don't seem to want to talk to each other. If I ran the XP network wizard and created the floppy at the end, then ran it on the other 2 would that work? The 2 that he has now network fine together, I don't want to screw that up by running the XP wizard on them.

Never had a win2000 system so I don't know.

Thanks, I will access these links when I can sit down in front of his systems.

BTW can win2000 see files on a ntfs formated drive? I would guess that it could, but like I said never used anything with 2000.
