Home Network Diagram (will this work?)

Question is will the configuration for the Far end of the house work as designed? I want to buy the second netgear wireless router but want to ensure this is possible first.

It should work fine. Turn off the DHCP server on the 2nd router.

Edit: also, make sure you connect the 2nd router to the first one using one of the LAN ports, not the WAN port.

The "hub" should be a switch, although I'm sure thats what you meant since regular hubs really arent sold anymore.

yeah i have 4 with 6 ssids (two are dual band).

i've got so much wifi bandwidth from security going on that i just use the 2.4 for that. the neighborhood has so many wifi's it gets annoying.

but you can assign 4 ssid per band on the dd-wrt so i have 24 SSID's to screw with the neighbors a..x
