Home made V12 .... my uncle's next project

So I've got an evil genius uncle, the guy is a mad scientist, genius, master craftsman, you name it... its amazing what he does.

I swung by his place last night to see his next project.... splicing two 2JZGTE (Supra Twin Turbo) engines together into a single crank operated quad turbo V12.

... its coming together quite well

This 100% custom crank is a thing of beauty

What does he intend to do with it when it's completed?
The current plan is a steel tube chassis + C5 transaxle that will up ultimately be an "open wheel" indy looking thing, maybe Prowler type thing?

who knows, his brain does more thinking in 10 seconds than I've done all month.

First thought was "damn, that sounds heavy." Second thought was "that's gonna be awesome."

I want to meet your uncle.
Did he design and machine that crank himself?
Please ask him for a whole bunch more pictures.
Did I mention I want to meet him?
Why aren't you hanging out with this guy right now? I mean really, why not? How can a bunch of faceless posts on a web site compare to having a genius lunatic for an uncle? You need to reevaluate your priority's.
Please introduce us ASAP.

If you're in the Twin Cities I'm sure we can swing by his house/shop.... I'm not sure on the crank 100%, but I know his last project (a 31' Buick) he did everything but paint himself, so my guess is yes.

I should be swinging by his place again this weekend, I'll see what progress he's made.

.... this is sort of his back burner project. He is working on a few other things at the moment too (dual flathead dragster and his 31' buick)

Shouldn't those heads be offset somewhat from the opposite bank? 😕

Edit-Nevermind, I see that they are when I click on the fullsize pic. Was hard to tell with the autosized pics.
