home-made mouse feet

I know there have been some products claiming to smooth out the movement of your mouse
especially when your existing feet are gone 🙁

but I dont want to pay money for a piece of plastic i could find on the side of the road

anyone have suggestions for home-made mouse feet?

the last ones i bought fell apart and had to be removed

using an everglide mousepad doesn't help either, as the bumpy surface tends to eat through soft materials on the bottom of the mouse

without mouse-feet though the mouse gets gummed up very easily and moves extremely sluggishly, i can clean it off, but the slowness will return in 10 minutes of use

argh, any ideas? thanks

I have the same problem as you... I heard of this stuff called Teflon Tape that you can buy in a roll. I haven't tried it yet but i think i saw it mentioned in the hot deals forum. Apparently all you do is just stick some of it under the mouse and it is as good as new and when it wears off take it out and add another piece.

you can get teflon tape at hardware store, but only problem that i can see, is how to adhere tape to bottom of mouse....stuff you see online, for mouse feet has adhesive on bottom, peel off stip and stick to mouse..... like this ---> example.
teflon tape at hardware store is used for plumbing, and doesn't have adhesive backin, as far as i know.
