Home LAN - how to sync email & setup remote access

Looking to sync my email in my home network (so if I receive a message on my laptop it'll also appear on my desktops, etc). Any way to do this without telling the mail to remain on the mail server?

Also, what's the best way to setup some type of remote access, so I can log into the network from another location with either my laptop or someone else's computer and still access files?

Ahh, lastly, is there a way to install programs in a server/workstation type setup? What I mean is, can I install an app to a networked drive and have all computers run off the one installation (rather than install on each of the computers on the LAN).

Thanks!!
Mike

use one .pst file for your e-mail and have your other machines oe look to that file

if you have windowsxp pro use remote desktop

depends on the software whether they allow liscensing that way or not.

Ok so direct all networked PCs to the same pst file...got it. Only downside is that when I disconnect that computer all the emails are gone from the other computers, right? hmmmm....

Remote desktop pretty easy to set up? I'll have to check it out...

Thanks,
Mike
