I am having problems staying connected or having my network recognize my ISP connection. My network config is as follows. I have 2 NICs in my WIN2K server box. One is directly connected to my cable modem, the other is connected to a hub which connects two other PCs. I am running Wingate to share my connection and it seems to work fine, mostly. However, after a certain amount of time (varies) or during a download, I seem to lose connection with my ISP. When I reboot, my connection is fine again?? I'm not the best at networking, but I usually mess around until it works. However, this time I am stuck because I'm not sure what all the TCP/IP settings are supposed to do, and I don't want to expose my network. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

BTW, this happens on my server and client machines so I suspect its not a wingate prob.

How about trying to elilminate the sharing portion at first. Take out or disable the second network card and run with it for a few days. I have seen problem with Win2k Server where the machine gets confused about which card to use the Internet for.
